I submitted a poem my daughter wrote to VoicesNet.Net.

It won and was accepted for publication in their book!

My daughter is 7 years old, and she wrote her poem last year. Of course, we're very proud!

This is how it started:

I had the kids look through a book of classical artwork, and they each chose a painting they liked. They wrote a poem inspired by the painting.

All the kids felt inspired, and they all did a great job and felt they had something to write about.

I recommend it as an exercise!
