PBS offers a really great alternative to network television.

They are now showing their version of "reality tv" - a group of people set sail across the Atlantic ocean in an old sailboat - similar to the Mayflower. It took them 10 weeks.

They are journeying to a "new world" and landed on empty land owned by an Indian reservation in Maine.

Once they arrive in the "new world" they experience what life must have been like for the original European colonists in America.

The PBS website has plenty of activities for kids and adults regarding this show.
