Hooked on Phonics -

We've always created our own curriculum, and not focused much on pre-packaged educational systems. We did, however, just purchase the complete Hooked on Phonics program.

This was a great purchase, and I wish I'd gotten it years ago, when my older daughter was learning to read.

It's VERY simple to use, and made fun. The stories are cute. There isn't the awful mixture of sight words with phonics that I normally see in phonics material.

One of my children has had a tough time learning to read - but no more! The excitement at "reading time" is contagious, and the younger kids are using the system, too.

I highly, highly recommend it!
