How to Grow Cranberries

It's a great time of year to teach children about harvesting - and cranberries are particularly interesting!

Contrary to popular belief, they don't grow in bogs. Many cranberry farmers grow the cranberry plants in low spots, and then, when it's time to harvest the cranberries, they flood the cranberry bogs.

This separates the berries from the plants, and allow the farmers to more easily collect them.
