For new homeschoolers, homeschooling groups can be really vital. They connect you up to other parents who can share their experience and give good advice. And it can be even more beneficial to the children.

A good way to find a local homeschool group is by locating one on the internet first. I think most homeschoolers have internet access.

iVillage has a number of homeschooling boards. Also Yahoo! Groups is a good place to find groups.

You can always start a group. Put up notices where homeschoolers typically go with their children - the library, the park, the recreation center, the YMCA.
