The kids are making some Christmas decorations already - we got some foam pieces from Oriental Trading. We cut them in strips and taped them in loops - these are sturdier and brighter than construction paper. We can keep them and use them next year, but on the other hand, the real joy in these kind of chains is in the making of them - they aren't particularly pretty!
